Creating Engaging Spaces – Outdoor Workshops in Different Cities (October/November/December 2011): join us for an experiential workshop in New York, London, San Francisco or Brussels. In the workshops we want to explore the importance of virtual and physical spaces and processes for the quality of collaboration. Participants will experience what impact different environments have on the on the dynamics of their conversation. The learnings from the field exercise will be transferred to the virtual world. The major part of the workshop will happen in different public spaces. Radical Real Time (RRT): Innovation Cloud Our annual unconference on May 28, 2011
It is a tradition that Radical Inclusion hosts one virtual unconference per year – an open format to which everybody can contribute and which everybody who is interested can join. This year, we have the pleasure to collaborate with Aalto University on the topic “Innovation Cloud”. In the RRT, we want to understand how physical and virtual spaces have an impact on our processes of collaboration.
Virtual Leadership Workshop at the Königswieser Innovationswerkstatt Personal March 28-29, 2011, Berlin
Radical Inclusion is organizing a session on virtual leadership, exploring the role of Human Resource Management in establishing new collaboration patterns and rules. Sari Stenfors, president of Radical Inclusion, will share some thoughts with us on the changes in collaboration, the new role of leaders and the requirements for HR Management. In a combination of f2f and virtual activities we will discuss the implications for our business.
2010 Virtual Unconference hosted by Radical Inclusion – June 5, 2010
We are pleased to provide again the platform for this self-organized virtual unconference. This year’s conference, titled “Making the Most of Collaborative Worlds – Physical, Virtual and Blended Collaboration”, focuses on understanding the changes that are required at individual, team, and organizational levels to deal with these issues. Almost 200 people from 29 countries participated in the event that had real-time and asynchronous phases.
The World Banana Forum is a mult-stakeholder network of people who are involved in different parts of the banana supply chain –from small Latin American farmers or unionists to the large retailers like Wall Mart, and also NGOs, Fair Trade organizations etc was facilitated by our team. We used a blended approach of traditional group work, elements of Open Space Technology and social media technology for documentation purposes.
Berlin Change Days, HUB Berlin, Nov 9-10, Berlin, Germany
Berlin Change Days is a conference for practitioners, leaders and managers of change processes. Aware that the complexity of most changes cannot be handled by single actors there is a worldwide demand for internal and external support of change processes, tools and processes. Radical Inclusion will provide virtual support to engage conference attendees prior, during and after the conference through social media.
Pegasus Systems Thinking Conference Nov 2-4, Seattle, WA
Pegasus Communications draws people from around the world to explore systemic approaches to addressing organizational issues. Among this year’s keynotes: Peter Senge, author of The Fifth Discipline and founding chair of the Society for Organizaitional Learning and John Seely Brown, former chief scientist of Xerox and former director of its Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). Radical Inclusion will help connect the conference to the virtual world and present a collaborative session via virtual media: Open Your System for Virtual Collaboration on Monday, November 2 at the Hyatt Regency, Seattle, WA.
Participation Camp ’09
Radical Inclusion are managing the virtual element to this suberb event which will bring civic practitioners in participation together to openly learn and challenge each other to Change The Rules. Click here for a summary of this experience.
Radical Inclusion made it possible to take Participation Camp to the next level. They were able to take almost every aspect of our physical event, and translate and extend it into the virtual. With RI’s help, we instituted a comprehensive plan for virtual participation, and included participants from around the world. Real-Time Virtual Collaboration Workshop

That was a great tour of a marvelous adventure! Cyberspace IS Open Space. And the Internet works exactly the same way as every Open Space — totally self-organizing. I think what you are doing is identifying various aspects of the Internet that make the whole experience more useful. Sort of like finding new rooms in the venue, Temple Bells, Talking Sticks, etc.
